Coronavirus disease (COVID‑19)
Also called: 2019-nCov, 2019 Novel Coronavirus

We will get through this together.

Picture
The challenge of Covid-19 is real, and growing.
But through the continuing efforts of everyone – public sector, private sector, health care providers, first responders – we will prevail over this threat.
But there will be changes in the way we carry out our lives, changes that we can’t even imagine at this point.  A lot fewer hugs and a lot fewer handshakes may be just the start.  The ramifications of shutting down many businesses will be with us for some time to come.
But we will get through this.  We always have and we always will.  There are some practical things we can do in that effort, such as observing “social distancing” and hygiene recommendations.  We can help by supporting our local dining establishments that are now offering takeout and delivery. This in turns helps support the cooks, staff, and their suppliers along with their families during this time.
Yes, we will get through this together.  People helping people, looking for the opportunity to serve and to help.  It’s the reason I decided to run for Assembly District 40.
Here is some information that you may find helpful about Covid-19 and about ways to help.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a new virus.

The disease causes respiratory illness (like the flu) with symptoms such as a cough, fever, and in more severe cases, difficulty breathing. You can protect yourself by washing your hands frequently, avoiding touching your face, and avoiding close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with people who are unwell.

How it spreads
Coronavirus disease spreads primarily through contact with an infected person when they cough or sneeze. It also spreads when a person touches a surface or object that has the virus on it, then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth.
